The Penthouse is especially significant to our hotel’s rich heritage, and as a result, we ask that our guests be advised of and accept the following conditions to preserve the comfort of the Penthouse and to ensure our compliance with all local ordinances.

Room rates are subject to state and local tax, which is currently 14.75%, as well as an occupancy tax of $10.00 per night.

Check-in is at 3:00 pm, and checkout is at 12:00 pm. Requests for late checkouts may be granted based on availability.

The Penthouse sleeping accommodations are limited to no more than 6 registered guests.

The Penthouse is equipped with a Bowers & Wilkins surround sound theater system, indoors and outdoors. The volume must be kept at a reasonable level so as not to disturb other hotel guests and neighborhood residents. Music volume must be adjusted in the event of noise complaints and is at the discretion of the hotel management.

In accordance with New York law, there is NO smoking permitted in the Penthouse. Smoking is only allowed on the outdoor terrace.

We require a non-refundable advance deposit of 50% of the total amount of the stay, which will be charged to the credit card provided. This charge is due at signing of the Penthouse contract to hold the suite. The hotel reserves the right to require additional advance deposits should the estimated charges increase or should the billing method change.

The registered guest will be responsible for any damages to the Penthouse occurring during the stay. For this reason, a Security Deposit in the amount of 1 full night’s room and tax will be required. The Security Deposit is refundable upon inspection of the Penthouse at checkout, as long as there are no damages to the space, the Penthouse accessories, and artwork.

A walkthrough of the Penthouse is required with the guest and hotel management upon check-in to review all the amenities in the room.

Up to 2 pets are allowed in the Penthouse.

Parties, events, barbecues, open fire, loud music, live performances, photo shoots, and interviews are not permitted without prior written approval of the Events Coordinator and must be arranged in advance. The Penthouse has a maximum occupancy of 30 people. We cannot allow more than that number and we reserve the right to ask our security staff to enter the suite and ensure adherence to this number for everyone’s safety.

No outside food or beverage is to be brought into the Penthouse unless it is provided by the hotel. Because of liquor laws, no person under the age of 21 can be served alcohol, and we will stop serving alcohol by 1:30 am. In accordance with fire laws, no cooking or heaters are permitted on the terrace. All event needs, including food and beverage and staffing, must be agreed upon and arranged in advance with our Events Coordinator.

After 1:00 a.m., we request that the maximum occupancy of the Penthouse is limited to the six registered guests of the Penthouse. This is done in consideration of other hotel guests and residents of the neighborhood.

For certain events, the hotel requires a hotel security officer on duty to verify guests on a guest list. This verification will be done on the lobby level of the hotel. A guest list must be provided to the Events Coordinator prior to the event. Any altercations may subject the registered guest and invited guests to be removed from the hotel.
